The Lee Consultants provides approved state-mandated training to meet the legal requirements established by Maryland House Bill 1547.
All Maryland cosmetologists and barbers are required to take this course.
Domestic Violence Awareness Mandatory Training for MD Cosmetologists & Barbers
Legal Requirements:
Beginning January 1, 2026, to qualify for a new license or license renewal under the Maryland State Board of Cosmetologists or Board of Barbers, an individual is required to attend an approved 1-hour domestic violence awareness training.
TLC’s Course Features:
Class is approved by the Department of Labor to satisfy the mandatory training requirement of HB 1547.
· Virtual (Zoom) and In-Person sessions available
· 1-hour class
· Flexible scheduling
· Includes live instruction, certificate of completion, and resource handouts
· Certification does not expire - allows licensee to take class now in preparation of renewal
